The Event Manager role at ABM Industries offers a leadership opportunity to oversee facility maintenance and operational performance at a prestigious client site. This position is pivotal in ensuring that all operations are safe, efficient, and cost-effective while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and service excellence. The successful candidate will lead maintenance teams, manage various projects including operational and capital improvements, and handle budgets to align with financial goals. As the primary liaison for client coordination on facility-related matters, the Event Manager will maintain strong relationships through clear communication and responsive service. This full-time position offers a competitive annual salary of $70,000 USD, with potential eligibility for incentive or bonus programs based on individual and company performance. The role requires a proactive leader well-versed in maintenance operations with knowledge of HVAC, mechanical, and electrical systems. Proficiency in computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite and preferably computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is essential. The ability to track, document, and analyze operational data to report on key performance indicators and maintenance metrics is also required. Candidates should demonstrate excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with a capacity to handle multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in facility management, engineering, or related field preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in facility maintenance or operations management
  • Proven leadership skills managing maintenance teams
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, mechanical, and electrical systems
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required
  • Experience with CMMS preferred
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Availability to support 24/7 operational needs as required

Job Qualifications

  • Demonstrated leadership experience in maintenance or facility operations
  • Maintenance background with working knowledge of HVAC, mechanical, and electrical systems

  • Experience tracking, documenting, and analyzing operational data

Job Duties

  • Direct and manage daily facility maintenance and operational activities
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute operational and capital improvement projects
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies
  • Monitor and report operational KPIs, maintenance metrics, and financial performance
  • Prepare professional reports and presentations for senior leadership and client review
  • Manage labor planning, scheduling, budgeting, and cost controls
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability, efficiency, and service delivery
  • Maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and responsive service
