Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous convention, event, and catering sales experience preferred
- Creativity and knowledge of food and beverage/event coordination desirable
- Must hold a valid driver's license for the applicable state
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with professional sales techniques preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

Job Duties
- Meet or exceed assigned meeting planner satisfaction scores, revenue goals, and food and beverage targets
- Proactively conduct solicitation calls, sales tours, and client entertainment tailored to the specific needs of the assigned property
- Monitor and assess trends within the market segment
- Approach all interactions with guests and employees in a friendly, courteous, attentive, and service-oriented manner
- Adhere to Avion Hospitality's regulations, company standards, catering and meeting standards, and catering sales metrics
- Develop a thorough understanding of the hotel's operations and policies, as well as those of relevant departments
- Deliver banquet event orders in a timely manner (within 10 days), ensuring accuracy
- Communicate any changes promptly to impacted departments and operations leaders
- Maintain strong visibility in the local community and industry organizations, as applicable
- Assist in implementing and/or participating in special promotions related to direct sales segments, such as sales blitzes, as needed
- Attend and participate in daily, weekly, and monthly meetings, as well as other functions required by management
- Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager or Director of Sales/Events
