Trail Drive Management Corporation Properties (TDMC) is a distinguished not-for-profit venue management company based in Fort Worth, Texas. TDMC is widely recognized for its comprehensive expertise in managing various types of venues across the Fort Worth area. The company oversees multiple facets of venue and event management including event booking, marketing, information technology, technical services, food and beverage operations, parking services, security, housekeeping, changeover, maintenance, and more. This diverse operational approach allows TDMC to provide an exceptional experience for event attendees as well as clients, ensuring that every aspect of an event is professionally handled to the highest standards.
As a well-established and respected entity within the community, TDMC maintains strong relationships with local businesses, public officials, and municipal stakeholders, which further strengthens its ability to facilitate successful events across its properties. The company's commitment to excellence and its extensive portfolio of managed venues position TDMC as a leader in venue services in the thriving Fort Worth area.
The role of Event Manager at TDMC is a vital position responsible for managing a wide range of events from their conceptual stages through to completion and post-event activities. The company is seeking a full-time Event Manager who is highly organized, enthusiastic, and energetic, capable of bringing creativity and consistency to their work. This manager will be expected to deliver outstanding customer service both to external clients and internal teams. The position requires a strong ability to multitask and prioritize a multitude of event-related details such as decor, catering, entertainment, transportation, guest lists, special guests, equipment needs, and promotional materials.
The successful candidate will need to review technical riders, pre-event information, and coordinate production requests directly with promoters, artists' representatives, and other relevant parties. They will advance all assigned events to ensure seamless execution and will organize and lead pre-event meetings to guarantee staff preparedness. Furthermore, this role involves developing and distributing event memos and information sheets, compiling event details for staff meetings, and conducting post-event briefings to identify areas for continuous improvement.
Budget preparation and cost control are key responsibilities, including providing accurate event forecasts and working closely with the finance department on event settlements. The Event Manager is also expected to utilize Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD) software to develop layouts for events and collaborate with the ticketing department to prepare for pre-sale and on-sale ticketing processes.
Anticipating logistical and operational challenges, proposing solutions, and supporting organizational goals through effective implementation of recommendations are crucial for this role. The manager will oversee event personnel, liaise with clients, coworkers, contractors, and municipal officials to foster positive working relationships. They will contribute to the development of departmental policies, standard operating procedures, training materials, and best practices for event load-in, set-up, and tear down.
This position demands someone who can work independently and as part of a team under extreme deadlines and strict budgets. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, proficiency in CAD, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion are essential. The Event Manager will also need to maintain a flexible schedule which may include nights, weekends, and holidays due to the nature of events managed.
Overall, this role offers a unique and rewarding opportunity for a seasoned event management professional to contribute to a well-respected organization that values innovation, operational excellence, and community engagement.
