Marriott Hotels, a flagship brand under Marriott International, strive to elevate the art of hospitality by continuously innovating while maintaining comfort and familiarity for guests worldwide. JW Marriott, a distinguished luxury portfolio within Marriott International, comprises more than 100 prestigious properties located in gateway cities and unique resort destinations internationally. JW Marriott emphasizes putting associates first, creating a supportive and inclusive work culture that encourages growth, training, and recognition. The brand champions the holistic well-being of its team members while upholding a legacy of genuine, intuitive, and confident service inspired by the company founder J. Willard Marriott.

This Event Planner role focuses on managing all aspects of event logistics, coordinating with sales teams, various property departments, and customers to ensure flawless execution and exceptional service throughout every phase of event management — from pre-event planning, through the event itself, to post-event follow-up. The position handles events of average complexity, ensuring smooth transitions between sales and service teams to maximize client satisfaction and revenue opportunities. The planner proactively identifies potential operational challenges and trends in event management, offering creative solutions and enhancements to create unique and memorable events. The role demands excellent communication and organizational skills to liaise effectively with internal teams and external customers, providing consistent updates, managing billing accuracy, and overseeing group room blocks and meeting spaces.

The Event Planner fosters a high standard of customer service by setting positive examples, empowering staff, addressing guest concerns efficiently, and integrating feedback for continuous improvement. Leadership responsibilities include conducting pre- and post-event meetings, facilitating collaboration among teams, and supporting sales and marketing functions by contributing to revenue forecasting, up-selling services, and managing event-related logistics. Additionally, this role involves human resource duties such as reviewing guest satisfaction, providing staff feedback, developing corrective action plans, and promoting a culture of service excellence.

Marriott International is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, embracing diversity and inclusivity in its workforce. By joining Marriott Hotels or JW Marriott, associates belong to a global family dedicated to outstanding hospitality, continuous learning, and personal and professional growth. This position offers the opportunity to work in a luxury environment that values innovation, camaraderie, and excellence, empowering individuals to become the best version of themselves while contributing to unforgettable guest experiences.
