Job Description

Our organization is a mission-driven nonprofit dedicated to making a meaningful impact within our community through various programs and initiatives. We strive to engage residents, donors, and partners by hosting events that foster collaboration, raise funds, and promote awareness of our cause. Located within a dedicated Development Office setting, the team is committed to delivering high-quality experiences that align with our agency-wide goals.

We are currently seeking an experienced Event Manager to join our team under the direction of the Director of Fund Development. This role is essential for leading the full lifecycle of organizational events, from concept development to post-event evaluation, ensuring every gathering supports our community engagement and fundraising objectives. The position is on-site and requires a professional with strong attention to detail, proven leadership capabilities, and a passion for nonprofits and mission-driven work.

As Event Manager, you will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of events that reflect our organization's values and strategic priorities. You will collaborate closely with internal departments such as Programs, Operations, and Communications to seamlessly integrate events within broader company initiatives. Your leadership will extend to mentoring the Event Coordinator, managing budgets, negotiating with vendors, and supervising all logistical aspects to guarantee a successful outcome.

In addition to the operational and strategic responsibilities, you will work alongside the Communications team to ensure effective promotion through digital channels and print materials, maximizing event visibility and attendance. On event days, your role includes managing onsite activities such as guest registration, vendor supervision, and on-the-spot problem resolution to deliver a smooth experience for attendees.

Post-event, you will analyze attendee data and feedback, prepare comprehensive reports detailing ROI and outcomes, and recommend improvements for future events. Maintaining meticulous organization of event equipment and supplies will also be part of your purview.

This role requires a Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field, with a Master’s degree being preferred. Experience-wise, candidates should possess a minimum of four years leading event management efforts, with six to eight years considered ideal. Familiarity with nonprofit fundraising and donor engagement enhances your ability to succeed and drive impactful results.

By joining our team, you become part of a collaborative environment focused on making a difference, where your event management skills directly contribute to the strength and sustainability of our mission.
