The Event Manager role at DLP Capital plays a pivotal role in orchestrating the company’s large-scale events, multi-program initiatives, and single-day gatherings. This position requires a strategic and operationally focused individual who excels in comprehensive event management from start to finish. The Event Manager will collaborate closely with senior leadership, marketing teams, project managers, and external vendors to meticulously plan and execute events that resonate with the company’s goals and mission. Reporting directly to the Senior Event Manager, this role demands an experienced professional capable of managing budgets, logistics, vendor relations, and on-site event execution with precision and creativity.
The responsibilities include maintaining an updated events calendar, developing and refining event checklists, coordinating logistics such as venues, catering, audiovisual setups, transportation, and accommodations. The role involves overseeing production stages for major events and adapting to last-minute changes by working closely with business leaders, speakers, and talent. Budget management is a critical function, with a focus on maximizing ROI while identifying cost efficiencies without compromising event quality. Documentation and tracking of all activities through project management tools ensure consistency and transparency throughout the planning process.
The Event Manager also leads vendor hiring and coordination, builds strong internal partnerships, and implements feedback systems to continuously improve future events. A key aspect of this position is to drive attendance goals by partnering with marketing and communications teams, as well as providing post-event reporting on performance metrics such as attendee satisfaction and budget compliance. - Proven track record of executing events on time and on budget
- Proficiency in Google suite of business products

Job Duties
- Collaborate with the senior director of marketing, project managers, and marketing team to coordinate and align event planning with marketing goals
- Implement and maintain a comprehensive events calendar with all upcoming events scheduled and documented
- Develop, implement, and update event checklists and processes to ensure consistency and efficiency
- Manage all event logistics including venue selection, food and beverage, audiovisual setup, transportation, accommodations, and on-site management
- Oversee large production stages and audiovisual setups to ensure seamless event execution and high-quality presentations
- Collaborate with business leaders, speakers, and talent to manage last-minute changes and adjustments during events
- Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring adherence to financial constraints and maximizing return on investment
- Review and approve all event-related expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Lead hiring and coordination of external vendors such as AV providers, caterers, and transportation services
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams including food services, conference services, security, and facilities
- Create and implement event feedback and improvement processes
- Work with leadership to set attendance targets and coordinate post-event actions including publicizing outcomes and video edits
- Provide detailed reports on event performance, including attendee feedback and budget adherence
- Maintain and update the events calendar ensuring all events are planned well in advance
