Job Requirements

  • Associates degree
  • Minimum of three years prior experience in event management related activities
  • Prior experience in budget management and event planning
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Ability to work flexible schedule
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other scheduling software
  • Demonstrated excellent customer service skills

Job Duties

  • Manage allocated events and programs on and off campus including staff management per event
  • Contract and manage vendors to actualize events or programs
  • Maintain budgets up to $150,000 per event
  • Liaise with event planners or administration staff to consolidate ideas, share resources, and communicate opportunities
  • Participate in weekly staff management meetings
  • Develop event schedules
  • Oversee event administrative responsibilities including invoice processing, invitation creation, pre-event tasks, place cards, menu cards, and seating arrangements
