Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- 3-5 years of progressively responsible event management experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong teamwork and project management abilities
- Proficient computer skills with knowledge of convention industry software preferred
- Demonstrated written and oral communication and presentation skills
- Flexible schedule availability including evenings and weekends
- Self-directed and motivated team player with positive outlook
Job Duties
- Plan events including client tours and advising on equipment and personnel needed
- Prepare final event settlement paperwork and review with clients
- Distribute work orders and event diagrams to internal departments and vendors
- Ensure event setup matches client instructions and manage onsite client services
- Manage events onsite including client assistance and coverage
- Conduct planning, staff, and operational meetings for smooth event production
- Coordinate with community and city officials for street closures, parking, and commuting needs
- Ensure compliance with regulations and maintain facility standards
- Support new program implementation and department development
- Serve as Manager on Duty during event shifts
