Job Description

About Encore and the Event Liaison Manager Role Encore is a premier provider of live event production and support services, partnering with world-class venues such as hotels and convention centers to deliver exceptional event experiences. As a leader in the event production industry, Encore specializes in providing expert audio-visual services, event management, and operational support to ensure seamless execution of events across various types of venues. With a commitment to quality, innovation, and client satisfaction, Encore offers comprehensive solutions that enhance the impact and success of various events including corporate conferences, exhibitions, trade shows, and social functions.

The Event Liaison Manager position at Encore is a critical role that involves managing the communication and logistical coordination between vendors, clients, and internal teams to guarantee flawless event delivery. Reporting to the Regional Vice President (RVP) of Venues, the manager acts as a central link connecting the hotel teams, Encore sales, and Encore operations. This role is responsible for establishing and maintaining positive relationships with all vendors, ensuring that policies and procedures are adhered to, and overseeing the movement and setup of equipment in various event spaces such as ballrooms, exhibit halls, breakout rooms, and public areas.

This position demands a highly organized and service-focused professional who can effectively coordinate pre-event communications starting at least 45 days before the event, manage schedules to prevent conflicts in load-in and load-out areas, and safeguard the hotel’s assets by monitoring vendor activities and equipment usage. The Event Liaison Manager must ensure that all vendor labor staff are properly checked in and compliant with the hotel's security policies, maintain ongoing communication with security and operations teams, and conduct thorough facility inspections before and after events.

The role also involves identifying revenue opportunities throughout the communication and event execution process while ensuring that any additional charges are properly approved and collected. Additionally, the manager seeks efficiencies that reduce labor costs and improve productivity, all while maintaining a positive and collaborative approach to client relationships, problem solving, and teamwork.

Candidates for this position are expected to have a minimum of five years’ experience in the audio-visual industry, including at least one year in a supervisory capacity. A high school diploma is required, with a preference for candidates possessing a bachelor’s degree. Proficiency in managing large-scale AV events, strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and competence in relevant software such as Microsoft Office are vital for success. The work environment is dynamic, involving moderate exposure to outdoor elements and variable noise levels, and may require irregular working hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

The compensation for the Event Liaison Manager ranges from $80,926 to $105,204 annually, with final pay determined by experience, skills, and location. Encore is dedicated to providing comprehensive benefits and fostering an inclusive work culture where all employees are respected and valued for their unique contributions. This position offers the opportunity to work within a leading event production company, contributing to high-profile events and supporting the continued excellence and reputation of Encore and its partner venues.
