Job Description
The Cincinnati Center City Development Corporation (3CDC) is a distinguished 501(c)(3) tax-exempt, private, non-profit organization dedicated to revitalizing and strengthening the core assets of downtown Cincinnati. With a primary focus on the Central Business District and the Over-the-Rhine (OTR) neighborhood, 3CDC plays a pivotal role in enhancing urban living through strategic real estate development, property management, civic space programming, and business district oversight. Established as a vital community partner, 3CDC collaborates closely with the Cincinnati corporate community and the City of Cincinnati to achieve its mission. The organization operates with an annual budget of $20 million and employs approximately 170 full-time and 180 part-time staff members across various departments.
3CDC's impact is deeply woven into the fabric of Cincinnati’s urban experience. Its real estate development arm has spearheaded nearly $1.7 billion in projects, reshaping key civic spaces and fostering a vibrant, mixed-use urban core. Through the creation of market-rate and affordable housing, office spaces, and retail opportunities, 3CDC not only promotes economic growth but also supports the livelihood of local small businesses and residents alike. The organization's real estate management team oversees more than 660,000 square feet of commercial space and 5,100 parking spaces, generating annual operating revenues exceeding $32 million.
Additionally, 3CDC manages six prominent civic spaces, including Fountain Square, Washington Park, Ziegler Park, Memorial Hall, Court Street Plaza, and Imagination Alley. These spaces are hubs for community engagement, offering nearly 1,600 family-friendly events annually that enrich the cultural and social life of the city. The organization also administers two special improvement districts that focus on maintenance, safety, beautification, homeless outreach, and marketing support, ensuring these areas remain vibrant, welcoming, and well-maintained.
The Event Lead role at 3CDC is integral to the success of public happenings in these civic spaces. This position assists the Event Supervisor or Manager in overseeing beverage sales and managing events in venues such as Fountain Square, Washington Park, Ziegler Park, Memorial Hall, Court Street Plaza, and Imagination Alley. The Event Lead ensures smooth operations by coordinating with staff and vendors, enforcing safety and behavioral rules, and providing exceptional customer service. Responsibilities include supervising bartenders and customer service representatives, managing event set-up and teardown, and maintaining cleanliness standards.
This role is vital for creating memorable experiences for event attendees while supporting 3CDC’s mission to foster community engagement and urban revitalization. Candidates passionate about community service, event operations, and hospitality will find this position both challenging and rewarding, offering the chance to be part of a dynamic team that positively impacts the Cincinnati urban landscape.
