The Role of Event Host at EAB is a crucial position based in Richmond, VA, responsible for the flawless execution of onsite partner events. This role requires constant attention to detail, organizational excellence, and a passion for hospitality to ensure that every event runs seamlessly from start to finish. As an Event Host, you will take pride in creating welcoming, professional environments that impress partners and guests from the moment they arrive until their departure. Every aspect of event logistics falls under your care, including room setup, catering coordination, audiovisual support, signage, transportation, and communication with external vendors and internal teams. This highly visible position demands effective problem-solving skills, flexibility to work a varied schedule including early mornings and evenings, as well as the physical ability to handle event setup tasks such as lifting, bending, and climbing. Additionally, the role involves preparing and distributing travel itineraries and event documents to guests to enhance their overall experience. The position also requires collaboration with facilities management and maintaining a calm, service-oriented demeanor throughout events. Overall, the Event Host plays an essential part in delivering exceptional service that upholds EAB’s standards and strengthens long-term partner relationships.
The anticipated starting salary for this role is $35,000 per year. Job Duties
- Own end-to-end execution of partner events hosted in EAB’s Richmond, VA office
- oversee all onsite logistics including catering, AV coordination, signage, transportation, and space setup
- take ownership and pride in creating stellar first impressions and wow moments for event attendees
- ensure superior service is provided to internal and external constituencies
- coordinate directly with facilities and vendors to ensure event environment is polished, professional, and guest-ready
- prepare meeting rooms and event spaces per detailed specifications including nametags, materials, and amenities
- handle ground transportation logistics, tracking arrivals and departures
- prepare and distribute final travel itineraries and event documents
- work a flexible schedule to cover early starts or evening events
- maintain a professional, calm, and service-oriented demeanor at all times
- perform additional duties as assigned
