The position primarily focuses on event coordination and customer experience, specifically planning and facilitating events such as children's birthday parties and craft classes within the store. This role requires meticulous planning, communication, and creativity to ensure all guests enjoy a fun, stress-free, and engaging experience. Responsibilities include coordinating multiple events simultaneously, setting up and breaking down event spaces, demonstrating craft projects, conducting face painting, and managing party add-ons such as goody bags and balloons in accordance with company standards. Additionally, this role involves maintaining cleanliness and safety standards before, during, and after events.

In addition to event coordination, the role demands excellent customer service skills. This includes assisting customers in locating products, educating them on the benefits of the company’s Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards, enrolling customers in these programs, and facilitating omni-channel shopping experiences such as Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS). Team members also participate in operational duties, including truck unloading, stocking, merchandise recovery, and maintaining store presentation according to planograms and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

The ideal candidate will be someone with a lively and enthusiastic personality, capable of handling stress and interacting effectively with guests of all ages and co-workers. Experience working with children and children's events is highly valued, along with excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and nonverbal), organizational abilities, interpersonal skills, and creative problem-solving capabilities. The role also requires physical stamina such as standing for extended periods, moving throughout the store, lifting heavy boxes, and working with ladders for accessing high shelves.
