Job Description
This job opening is with a city-managed facility focused on rental activities, requiring on-site supervision to ensure smooth operations and client satisfaction. The establishment is responsible for renting out various facilities and venues that accommodate a range of public and private events. As a city-run entity, the organization prioritizes safety, cleanliness, and effective customer service to maintain a positive reputation and operational excellence. Working for a public entity like this provides an opportunity to contribute to community engagement through event facilitation and facility management. The role is a temporary or seasonal position, which means it does not qualify for benefits, reflecting the nature of the job as intermittent but crucial during peak rental periods. The employment demands flexibility, as the candidate will be expected to perform duties during evenings and weekends, adapting to the varied schedules of facility rentals.
The position entails responsibilities such as overseeing rented facilities, acting as a point of contact for renters, and liaising directly with the Facility Promotion Supervisor. Supervisory duties involve ensuring that all rental activities comply with safety protocols, the proper use and maintenance of facilities, and that the overall event experience meets expectations. The role is critical in checking that facilities are clean, equipment is operational, and that the venue is prepared for each event. Candidates do not need to have technical knowledge of audio-visual equipment, but such skills are advantageous and can enhance effectiveness in the role. The work environment requires moderate physical effort including standing, walking, lifting, and occasionally climbing, under various weather conditions given the indoor and outdoor nature of the assigned sites. The position offers a unique blend of customer service, operational oversight, and problem-solving, as unexpected situations during events may require timely and effective response. As a temporary role, it offers flexibility for individuals seeking short-term employment opportunities or seasonal work aligned with facility rental cycles.
