The role of Event Facilitator at Rise Against Hunger is a part-time, hourly position offering a starting wage of $20.00 per hour. This flexible role involves working as needed with occasional responsibilities during nights and weekends, making it ideal for individuals who thrive in variable schedules and enjoy engaging dynamically with people. As an Event Facilitator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth, impactful meal packaging events by leading volunteers through the entire packaging process. Your responsibilities will include organizing volunteers, managing inventories, and facilitating event logistics such as equipment transportation and set-up using a box truck and pallet jack. Importantly, you will serve as an enthusiastic ambassador for Rise Against Hunger, motivating volunteers with an outgoing personality and strong public speaking skills. You will also be encouraged to utilize social media to drive volunteer involvement and enhance event visibility.

This position requires excellent judgment and problem-solving abilities, along with the capacity to work independently and take the initiative. Working closely with the Donor Engagement team, which specializes in volunteer coordination and donor relations, you will help expand Rise Against Hunger’s impact locally and globally. This position not only involves event facilitation but also supports promotional efforts, volunteer recruitment, and encourages donor participation at events, ensuring each gathering is productive and inspiring.
