Job Description

Sage Hospitality Group is a renowned leader in the hospitality industry, dedicated to creating extraordinary experiences through innovative and personalized service. With a diverse portfolio of hotels, restaurants, and resorts, Sage Hospitality Group is committed to excellence, ingenuity, and genuine hospitality. One of their distinguished properties is The Ben, Autograph Collection, located in the vibrant city of West Palm Beach, Florida. This luxury hotel stands out with its intentional design, sophisticated style, and exceptional service, offering guests a unique blend of modern luxury and warm, inviting atmospheres. The Ben reflects a storied legacy inspired by the famed Ben Trovato Estate and Byrd "Birdie" Dewey, marrying creativity, individuality, and elegance across its waterfront setting overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway and marina.

At The Ben, Sage Hospitality Group seeks an Event Experience Manager to lead the strategic planning and execution of small meetings and catering-only events within the hotel’s sophisticated banquet spaces. The role demands an individual who thrives in a luxury hospitality environment and possesses the ability to generate new and repeat business through targeted sales efforts such as outside visits, telemarketing, and networking. This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 to USD 75,000 per year, along with benefits including unlimited paid time off and medical insurance with significant employer contribution.

The Event Experience Manager directly contributes to elevating guest experiences by coordinating and maximizing the use of banquet space for meetings with up to 10 rooms or fewer and various social functions. This role requires the manager to solicit, capture, and finalize catering business while consistently exceeding revenue goals. In addition to revenue optimization, the role involves the development and implementation of effective marketing strategies within a defined territory to identify new opportunities and secure profitable business deals. The manager will act as the point of contact for clients, meticulously planning event logistics including space allocation, timing, equipment needs, menus, themes, and décor, ensuring seamless operations and client satisfaction.

Success in this role demands collaboration with internal hotel departments to coordinate the execution of events flawlessly, resolve any operational issues, and uphold the highest standards of service and hospitality that The Ben is known for. Reporting duties include preparing status updates and period-end reports reflecting sales achievements and market trends. Maintaining up-to-date industry knowledge regarding competitors, market shifts, and corporate protocols also supports informed decision-making and strategic planning.

Physical and interpersonal skills are key components of the role, including superb communication and negotiation abilities, excellent vision and hearing for event monitoring, and physical stamina for set-up activities. Driving to sales calls and adaptability in indoor and outdoor work environments are also essential, highlighting the dynamic nature of the position.

Joining The Ben team means becoming part of a culture that values excellence, confidence, and refined presence, offering professionals a unique chance to thrive in an inspired, luxury hospitality setting. Sage Hospitality Group fosters a supportive work environment with numerous benefits such as company-sponsored health and dental insurance, retirement plans with employer matching, life insurance, short-term disability, and employee assistance programs. Additional perks include wellness credits, tuition reimbursement, discounts on hotel stays and dining, and incentives for employee referrals.

Overall, the Event Experience Manager role at The Ben by Sage Hospitality Group offers an exciting opportunity for hospitality professionals passionate about orchestrating memorable events in a distinguished luxury setting while advancing their careers within an esteemed, globally recognized hospitality brand.
