Job Requirements

  • More than two years of post-high school education
  • One to two years of related experience in hospitality or event management
  • Knowledge of catering and food and beverage industry practices
  • Understanding of hotel policies and procedures
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours and perform physical tasks
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Job Qualifications

  • More than two years of post-high school education
  • One to two years of related experience in hospitality or event management
  • Thorough knowledge of catering, food and beverage practices, menu development, and pricing
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in developing marketing plans and proposals
  • Ability to drive to outside sales calls

Job Duties

  • Solicit, capture, plan and coordinate small meetings with 10 rooms or less
  • Solicit, negotiate and book new and repeat business through outside sales calls, telemarketing, mailings, and networking
  • Execute a territorial marketing strategy to meet and exceed sales goals
  • Plan, upsell and detail meetings including space, times, equipment, menus, themes, and decorations
  • Complete contracts and prepare banquet event orders
  • Coordinate with hotel departments to ensure quality product delivery and customer satisfaction
  • Prepare status and period end reports
  • Maintain knowledge of company policies, competitors, and industry trends
