Job Requirements
- More than two years of post-high school education
- One to two years of related experience in hospitality or event management
- Knowledge of catering and food and beverage industry practices
- Understanding of hotel policies and procedures
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours and perform physical tasks
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Job Qualifications
- More than two years of post-high school education
- One to two years of related experience in hospitality or event management
- Thorough knowledge of catering, food and beverage practices, menu development, and pricing
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in developing marketing plans and proposals
- Ability to drive to outside sales calls
Job Duties
- Solicit, capture, plan and coordinate small meetings with 10 rooms or less
- Solicit, negotiate and book new and repeat business through outside sales calls, telemarketing, mailings, and networking
- Execute a territorial marketing strategy to meet and exceed sales goals
- Plan, upsell and detail meetings including space, times, equipment, menus, themes, and decorations
- Complete contracts and prepare banquet event orders
- Coordinate with hotel departments to ensure quality product delivery and customer satisfaction
- Prepare status and period end reports
- Maintain knowledge of company policies, competitors, and industry trends
