Job Description
Anheuser-Busch is a globally recognized leader in the beverage industry, renowned for its iconic brands and commitment to quality, innovation, and excellence. As part of North America’s leading sales and marketing agency, the company thrives by integrating brand growth, significant business expansion, and outstanding strategic event management. They serve a variety of trade channels including grocery, mass merchandise, specialty, convenience, drug, dollar, club, hardware, consumer electronics, and home centers, bridging the gap between manufacturers and retailers to offer consumers access to the best products available on the market. With a focus on delivering superior customer experiences and innovative marketing solutions, Anheuser-Busch continues to evolve and set industry standards.
This position is a full-time temporary role lasting three months and is remote within the United States. The role of Event Director at Anheuser-Busch is a crucial leadership position responsible for the vision, strategy, and flawless execution of large-scale events and incentive programs for the company's distinguished brands. The person in this role reports directly to the Operations Director and leads cross-functional collaboration with Client Services, Creative, Hospitality, and Production teams. The Event Director will oversee end-to-end event production, from conceptualization to post-event evaluation, ensuring a seamless experience that aligns with brand objectives and drives measurable business results.
Key responsibilities include budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, contract negotiation, venue and vendor management, timeline management, and ongoing communication with clients and internal teams. The role requires a dynamic leader who excels in fast-paced environments, demonstrating high attention to detail, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a passion for delivering excellence. The Event Director will also contribute to new business efforts such as responding to RFPs, preparing presentations, and managing special projects, while coaching and developing direct and indirect reports to foster a motivated, high-performing team.
Ideal candidates will have at least eight years of experience in event production, sourcing, project management, and budget ownership, preferably within the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) industry and consumer packaged goods, especially beverages. Familiarity with hotel buying, vendor management, and global destinations is essential, along with strong contract negotiation skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools. The position requires up to 50% travel to oversee events.
