The Bartender position at the Hilton Santa Clara offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about mixology and customer service to join a supportive and engaging team. This role is hourly, with a competitive rate of $19.20 per hour, and is eligible for overtime pay. The ideal candidate must demonstrate the ability to work long hours and possess a flexible schedule, including availability during afternoons, evenings, game days, weekdays, weekends, and holidays. This flexibility ensures that the bar services meet the high demand typical of a busy hotel environment. The bartender will be responsible for preparing and serving drinks, taking food and beverage orders, and providing courteous and efficient service to hotel guests. They will also manage the cleanliness and organization of the bar area and collaborate with restaurant and room service staff to fulfill orders. This role requires standing for at least eight hours per shift and maintaining high energy levels and a friendly demeanor to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous bartending experience
  • current California Food Handlers Card
  • current Responsible Beverage Service certificate
  • ability to work flexible hours including afternoons, evenings, weekends, holidays, and game days
  • ability to stand for long periods
  • pass criminal background check
  • pass drug testing

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a full bar service bartender
  • current California Food Handlers Card
  • current Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification
  • knowledge of baseball food and beverage service standards
  • knowledge of different beers, wines, and spirits
  • bartending school attendance is desirable
  • MICROS point-of-sale system knowledge a plus

Job Duties
