The position of Event Custodian Supervisor within Legends Global's Event Services department plays a vital role in maintaining the operational excellence of venue facilities. Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, this supervisory role is responsible for overseeing the housekeeping staff to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patrons attending events. The role requires a hands-on leader who can efficiently manage cleaning operations, supervise staff duties, and maintain the upkeep of all areas within the facility — from flooring and restrooms to event equipment storage and emergency pathways.
The Event Custodian Supervisor ensures that all cleaning tasks adhere to the highest standards, supporting a positive guest experience and the overall success of each event. This individual will also prioritize equipment maintenance, ensuring that all custodial tools are in good working condition and properly stored. The position demands a proactive approach, with an emphasis on streamlining housekeeping processes, improving turnaround times, and collaborating with other building departments to meet and exceed customer expectations.
Preferred candidates for this role will have a minimum of two years of custodial experience, including at least one year in a supervisory capacity. Experience in an arena or venue setting is highly valued, and bilingual abilities, especially in English and Spanish, are strongly preferred. Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills are essential to effectively manage the team and operations.
The role is based at Sames Auto Arena in Laredo, Texas, and involves physical demands typical of custodial work, including standing, walking, and lifting. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D
- 2+ years custodial experience
- 1+ year in a supervisory capacity
- Arena or venue experience preferred
- Must be 18+ years old

Job Duties
- Supervise and assign duties to the housekeeping staff
- Maintain the cleanliness of all types of flooring throughout the facility
- Ensure that all areas remain free of trash, restrooms, dressing and locker rooms are well maintained, and tile surfaces are dry and clean
- Maintain all glass, steel, and office surfaces through dusting, cleaning and polishing
- Responsible for the proper storage of facility event equipment when not in use
- Ensure all emergency pathways are kept free and clear of obstructions
- Responsible for keeping housekeeping equipment and tools in working condition and notifying supervisor of any broken parts
- Ensure all equipment and supplies are cleaned and returned to their proper place when finished with them
- Complete daily checklist to ensure the cleanliness and safety of our patrons attending each event
- Assist clients with requests during events
- Demonstrate continuous effort to improve housekeeping operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to meet customer expectations
- Ability to work effectively as a team and with other building departments
- Perform other duties as assigned by Operations Management
- Other duties may be assigned
