Job Description

Proof of the Pudding is a distinguished catering company that has been a vital part of the Atlanta culinary scene for over four decades. Renowned for providing innovative menus, exceptional services, expert design, and memorable event experiences, Proof of the Pudding serves a broad clientele across Atlanta and its surrounding regions. As a preferred caterer for more than 50 premier venues around Atlanta, the company specializes in off-premise catering services, managing a diverse range of events including weddings, holiday parties, corporate retreats, and social gatherings. This reputation is built on a dedication to excellence, creativity, and client satisfaction, making Proof of the Pudding a trusted name in event catering.

The company is currently seeking to expand its Off-Premise Team by hiring an Event Culinary professional. This role is specifically designed to support off-premise events as well as provide pivotal culinary support within the main kitchen operations. The Event Culinary position focuses on large-scale food production, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and assisting executive and culinary leadership with various tasks as required. Individuals in this role may also begin their days pre-event at the warehouse, helping to organize and gather all necessary food items, quantities, and rentals according to the event's Banquet Event Order (BEO), ensuring efficient truck loading and troubleshooting any additional material needs.

Reporting to the Proof of the Pudding corporate office located in West Midtown Atlanta, the Event Culinary professional will have the opportunity to work at various event locations throughout the metropolitan area and beyond. This dynamic role demands flexibility, as well as the ability to adapt to different environments and maintain high culinary standards under diverse settings. Event Culinary team members are expected to follow detailed prep lists, manage ingredient measurements, prepare basic dishes under the guidance of the Executive Chef, and ensure proper food storage and safety practices. Moreover, maintaining kitchen hygiene and adhering to safety and sanitation standards are critical components of the role.

Event Culinary professionals are valued team players who possess excellent communication skills, customer service orientation, and the ability to multitask effectively while maintaining a high energy level. Holding a ServSafe certification or the willingness to obtain one is essential for safety compliance. The position requires physical stamina given the nature of working with kitchen equipment, handling heavy items, and spending considerable time moving through event spaces. Proof of the Pudding offers a supportive and inclusive work environment, with competitive pay, daily meals during shifts, flexible schedules, and opportunities for advancement and industry-wide applicable training. This opportunity is ideal for culinary professionals seeking to expand their expertise in event catering within a reputable and innovative company committed to diversity and quality service.
