The role of Event Crew (Summer Field Support) is a temporary seasonal position offered by Fishers Parks to support their diverse portfolio of summer events and community programs from May through October. This part-time position requires approximately 20 to 25 hours of work each week, primarily during evenings, weekends, and holidays as special events demand. The hourly rate for this position is $15. This role is vital for ensuring the seamless execution of on-site event operations which contribute significantly to the success of community engagement efforts. The Event Crew will assist the Event and Marketing teams with a broad range of responsibilities that cover creative development, marketing, vendor support, operational logistics, and community outreach.

Applicants who might only be available during the summer months from May to August will still be considered, catering to students or seasonal workers who seek flexible employment. The position requires availability during the key Spark! Fishers Festival on June 27th, a major event that showcases the community spirit of Fishers. Event Crew members will handle tasks such as setting up tents, tables, chairs, barricades, signage, and other supplies essential for the smooth staging of parks programs, concerts, festivals, and other local events.

Additionally, individuals in this role will interact directly with event attendees, vendors, sponsors, and community partners, providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a positive, professional demeanor. They will also be involved in distributing marketing materials throughout the Fishers community, supporting event preparation tasks, and assisting with administrative duties like organizing supplies and assembling promotional materials. Physical stamina is essential as crew members will be required to lift, carry, and transport event equipment and stand for extended periods during events.
