Job Description

Rhino Staging, founded in 1991, has established itself as a leading provider of professional stage crew services specializing in live events across the United States. With a firm commitment to integrity, safety, and professional development, Rhino has pioneered many positive changes in the entertainment industry, ensuring that every event is executed with the highest standards of safety and proficiency. The company works with some of the biggest production companies and offers labor support for concert tours, festivals, and other live events in locations including Ridgefield, Vancouver, and Portland. Rhino Staging's reputation is built on treating people well and delivering exceptional service to clients, making it a distinguished name in stage production and event labor.

This particular role is for General Stagehands, a position pivotal to the success of live entertainment events. This role is a seasonal, on-call position requiring flexibility as hours vary, including nights, weekends, and holidays, with no minimum guarantee of hours. General Stagehands at Rhino Staging play a critical part in setting the stage—literally—for some of the most successful events in the industry. Candidates with previous experience and open availability throughout the season are preferred, as the position demands reliability and a strong work ethic.

As a General Stagehand, you will be engaged in various physical tasks that involve handling stage and event equipment, supporting setup, and teardown activities for concerts, corporate events, and festivals. The job is physically demanding, requiring the ability to lift and move heavy loads, navigate dynamic and sometimes challenging outdoor or indoor environments, and work cohesively with a team to ensure event success. Communication skills in English are essential, as safety and efficiency depend heavily on clear, timely coordination with crew members and supervisors. Rhino Staging emphasizes safety as a priority and provides workers with protocols and training necessary to maintain safe working conditions in high-risk environments.

Working with Rhino Staging offers an opportunity to be part of a dynamic, fast-paced environment where live entertainment comes to life. You will gain valuable experience in stage management and live event logistics, enhancing your skills in equipment handling, teamwork, and problem-solving under pressure. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in entertainment settings, have a positive attitude, and are committed to being an essential part of the production process that entertains thousands. The role fosters professional growth and the chance to contribute directly to memorable live experiences for audiences.
