Job Description
Fooda is a dynamic company revolutionizing workplace food programs by partnering with over 2,000 local restaurants across more than 20 major US cities. Their innovative approach brings a unique chef-driven dining experience directly to office buildings, helping employees enjoy fresh, diverse meals every day. Fooda has built a reputation as one of the top workplace perks, with eight out of ten employees naming it a favorite benefit. Continuing its rapid expansion, Fooda seeks passionate individuals who thrive in fast-paced, customer-focused environments.
Currently, Fooda is hiring a part-time Event Coordinator for their Los Angeles market. This role presents an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in hospitality or events looking to expand their experience in the food service industry while collaborating with a diverse network of local restaurants. As an Event Coordinator, you will be the face of Fooda at various onsite events and play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer experiences. The position is part-time, offering flexible shifts between 15 and 25 hours a week during regular business hours, including critical hours in the evenings and weekend mornings. The hourly wage for this role ranges between $22 and $23.
In this position, you will be responsible for executing and managing Fooda events by setting up and tearing down equipment, maintaining cleanliness, and troubleshooting any issues that arise during service. You'll become proficient in Fooda's technology platforms and operational procedures, empowering you to provide real-time problem-solving and customer support at event sites. This fast-paced role requires keen attention to detail to ensure consistent, high-quality restaurant event setups that meet Fooda's standards. By fostering strong relationships with customers and restaurant partners, you'll help create memorable meal experiences that employees look forward to day after day.
The ideal candidate is energetic, friendly, and highly organized, able to think on their feet under pressure. You should be comfortable leveraging technology and communication skills to manage event logistics effectively while working independently as a self-starter. Previous catering or serving experience is strongly preferred, and familiarity with the Los Angeles area, especially north of the 10 freeway near the 90806 zip code, is beneficial since this role involves driving between multiple event sites. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys interacting with people, values flexibility, and wants to be part of a growing company that prioritizes innovation and customer satisfaction. Fooda also offers comprehensive benefits including paid time off, a 401k retirement savings plan with company match, opportunities for career advancement, and networking experiences within the local restaurant community, along with free food perks that make every shift enjoyable.
