Job Description

Fooda is a premier workplace food program company that specializes in bringing diverse restaurant experiences directly to employees at their places of work. Operating in over 20 major U.S. cities, Fooda partners with a network of over 2,000 restaurants to offer fresh, chef-prepared meals onsite in corporate and office building environments. This innovative platform allows a different restaurant to serve lunch daily at each Fooda location, providing variety, freshness, and convenience for employees across the country. Fooda’s commitment to quality and customer satisfaction has made it a top perk for many companies, with 80% of employees recognizing the food service program as one of their favorite workplace benefits.

Currently, Fooda is looking for a full-time Event Coordinator to join their dynamic team in the Atlanta market. This role is ideal for individuals with a background in hospitality or event management who are passionate about food service and enjoy working closely with local restaurants and customers. The Event Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting Fooda’s onsite food events by ensuring smooth operations and delivering an exceptional customer experience. This position offers a unique blend of hands-on event coordination, technology use, problem-solving, and customer engagement within a fast-paced start-up environment.

As an Event Coordinator, you will be responsible for onsite event setup, tear down, and clean-up, ensuring that all equipment and site areas meet Fooda’s high standards. You will also develop competency with Fooda’s proprietary technology and standard operating procedures, including troubleshooting issues related to orders, deliveries, and point-of-sale systems. This role involves real-time problem resolution, direct customer service, and facilitating promotional activities to enhance user engagement with Fooda’s services and mobile app. The position typically requires critical availability during lunch hours Monday through Friday from 10 am to 2 pm, with some flexibility for tasks during an 8 am to 4 pm window depending on market needs.

The ideal candidate for this role is outgoing, energetic, and customer-oriented, thriving on building strong relationships through excellent service. Equipped with strong communication skills, technological savvy, and the ability to stay composed under pressure, this person will be resourceful and proactive in resolving issues. Experience in catering or food service, familiarity with local routes, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision will add great value to the role. Fooda offers competitive wages, a 401k retirement savings plan with company match, advancement opportunities, and the chance to network within the vibrant local restaurant scene. This opportunity provides flexible, part-time hours ranging between 5 to 25 hours per week with an emphasis on work-life balance and professional growth.
