Job Description

Fooda is a leading workplace food program provider that aims to revolutionize the way employees experience meals at work. Powered by cutting-edge technology and a network of over 2,000 restaurants, Fooda curates unique dining experiences within companies and office buildings across more than 20 major US cities, including Abilene, Texas. Each Fooda location offers employees a chance to enjoy fresh, chef-curated meals from different local restaurants every day, making lunchtime something employees look forward to. This innovative approach to workplace dining has earned strong support, with eight out of ten employees rating Fooda as one of their company's top perks.

Fooda's part-time Event Coordinator role in the Abilene market is an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality and event management who want to expand their knowledge of food service. This role combines customer service skills, event coordination, technology use, and problem-solving to ensure that Fooda's food programs run smoothly and delight customers. As a part-time position offering approximately 27.5 hours per week during regular business hours, this role is perfect for those seeking flexibility paired with steady work in a vibrant, fast-paced start-up environment.

The Event Coordinator will be instrumental in supporting Fooda events by managing onsite set-up, tear down, and clean-up, ensuring high-quality customer experiences, and assisting as needed in Fooda Cafés. The role demands hands-on participation in problem-solving issues such as incorrect orders, late deliveries, and technical difficulties related to point-of-sale systems and digital menu boards. Additionally, the coordinator will promote Fooda's mobile app and conduct onsite audits to maintain consistent restaurant setups.

This position requires a friendly, energetic individual with strong organizational and communication skills, a knack for technology, and the ability to handle pressure gracefully while delivering excellent customer service. Candidates with prior catering or serving experience will find themselves well-equipped to succeed. The company values employees who are familiar with their local area and possess reliable transportation to efficiently navigate between restaurant locations and company sites.

Working at Fooda offers competitive pay between $18 and $20 per hour alongside a comprehensive benefits package, including paid time off, a 401k retirement plan with company match, and pre-tax commuter benefits. Employees also enjoy opportunities for long-term career advancement, networking within the vibrant local restaurant scene, and the rewarding experience of supporting top-tier food programs in workplaces. Fooda fosters a dynamic, community-oriented culture where food excites and connects people, making this role both fulfilling and challenging for motivated individuals looking to grow alongside the company.
