Job Description
Fooda is a dynamic food technology company that has revolutionized workplace dining since its inception in 2011. Emerging from a simple idea to bring Chicago’s local restaurant culture inside office buildings, Fooda has grown into an innovative platform that connects employees with diverse and high-quality food programs at work. With operations spanning 45 cities across the United States and over 120 million meals served, Fooda stands as a leader in workplace food solutions. The company partners with a network of more than 2,500 local restaurants to offer rotating popup dining experiences across numerous locations including offices, hospitals, schools, and distribution centers.
This forward-thinking company emphasizes bringing enjoyable, convenient, and healthy meal options to employees during their busy workdays. Fooda’s use of advanced technology supports smooth operations and superior customer experiences. The company fosters a culture that values flexibility, innovation, and collaboration, making it a highly desirable workplace for individuals eager to grow in a tech-driven food service environment.
The role we are offering is a part-time Fooda Event Support Specialist position that provides an engaging opportunity to be directly involved with the successful execution of Fooda’s events and onsite food programs. This role is designed for someone who thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced setting and enjoys working closely with customers, restaurants, and internal teams. The specialist's responsibilities include managing onsite event setup and teardown, assisting with cashier duties to cover for team members, and ensuring smooth restaurant access and deliveries. You will become proficient with Fooda’s operational technology including point-of-sale systems and digital menu boards, which are integral to the seamless service experience.
As a Fooda Event Support Specialist, you will also troubleshoot potential problems such as incorrect orders or late deliveries and provide real-time problem resolution directly with consumers to ensure high satisfaction. This role requires excellent communication skills, an ability to multitask under pressure, and a strong orientation to detail and quality. Critical work hours fall predominantly over the lunch period from Tuesday through Thursday, but shifts may extend during the day depending on business needs. This part-time job offers flexible scheduling between 5 to 25 hours per week during standard business hours, blending well with other commitments.
Joining Fooda means becoming part of a company dedicated to improving workplace food culture, advancing employee dining experiences, and supporting local restaurant communities. Candidates who enjoy customer service, are technology-savvy, and have experience in catering or serving will find this role particularly rewarding. Competitive wages, paid time off, and opportunities for career advancement make this position an excellent choice for motivated individuals looking to establish themselves within a growing company.
