Job Description

Fooda started as a simple solution to a common workplace problem and has evolved into a leader in the food service industry. Founded in 2011 by a group of office workers in Chicago who sought to bring the local restaurant culture inside their corporate environment, Fooda has since grown into a dynamic tech-enabled food platform operating in 45 cities across North America. With over 120 million meals served, Fooda specializes in rotating popup restaurants inside offices, office buildings, hospitals, schools, distribution centers, and other work environments, providing fresh, high-quality meals from a network of more than 2500 local restaurants.

Fooda thrives on its mission to create workplace food programs that employees love and look forward to every day. By blending technology with exceptional food options, the company has transformed the office dining experience, making it easy and convenient for employees to enjoy diverse culinary offerings without leaving their workplaces. Fooda stands out by continuously innovating its platform, flawlessly managing onsite food events, and fostering strong partnerships with local restaurants.

The role available at Fooda is a part-time position dedicated to supporting the seamless operation of Fooda’s onsite food events and popup restaurant programs. This position requires a hands-on approach—being onsite to set up and tear down events, performing equipment cleaning, managing customer interactions, and utilizing Fooda’s technology-enabled systems to ensure smooth delivery and excellent customer experiences. This role carries critical responsibilities during lunch hours Tuesday through Thursday and involves a total commitment of 20-25 hours weekly, with flexibilities based on market needs.

You will be a vital part of Fooda’s operational success, handling everything from onboarding restaurants to office locations, troubleshooting order and technology issues, assisting with point-of-sale systems, conducting customer service on the spot, and promoting the Fooda mobile app to enhance user engagement. The position requires a customer-focused mindset, quick problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and comfort working within a fast-paced startup atmosphere.

Ideal candidates are energetic, organized, tech-savvy, and thrive on building positive relationships with customers and restaurant partners alike. Prior catering or serving experience will be highly beneficial. Fooda offers competitive wages at $25 per hour, paid time off, 401k retirement savings with a company match, commuter benefits, and opportunities for career advancement. Joining Fooda means becoming part of a mission-driven team focused on transforming workplace dining while enjoying meaningful work and industry network access.
