Job Description

Fooda is a pioneering workplace food program company dedicated to transforming the way employees experience food at work. Operating through a cutting-edge technology platform and an extensive network of over 2,000 local restaurants, Fooda delivers diverse, chef-prepared lunches directly to offices across more than 20 major US cities. Committed to innovation and quality, Fooda’s rotating daily restaurant offerings ensure that employees enjoy fresh, varied meals each workday, which is why eight out of ten employees regard Fooda as one of their company’s top perks. The company thrives on fostering strong relationships with local eateries while addressing the unique dining needs of busy professionals, rapidly expanding its presence throughout the United States to meet growing demand.

Currently, Fooda is seeking a part-time Event Coordinator to join its dynamic team in the Palo Alto market. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in hospitality or event management who want to gain deeper insight into the food service industry, work closely with a broad customer base, and support an active network of local restaurants. As an Event Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth execution of Fooda’s onsite lunch programs, liaising directly with restaurant partners and corporate clients to create a seamless, positive dining experience.

This position requires hands-on involvement during lunch hours from Monday through Friday, typically between 9 am and 2:30 pm, although specific shifts may extend from 8 am to 4 pm depending on market needs. Responsibilities include setting up and breaking down events, cleaning equipment and site areas, troubleshooting orders and technical systems such as point-of-sale devices and digital menu boards, and providing exceptional in-person customer service. Event Coordinators also participate in promotional activities and coaching users on Fooda’s mobile app technology.

Ideal candidates are energetic, technology-savvy professionals who excel in fast-paced, startup environments and are passionate about customer satisfaction. Sound communication skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and a knack for organization are crucial to success in this role. Familiarity with the local area and reliable transportation are important, as is previous catering or serving experience. Fooda values flexibility and reliability, offering competitive wages of $21 to $23 per hour, paid time off, and opportunities for career growth within the company. By joining Fooda, you become part of a vibrant team committed to redefining employee meal experiences while enjoying workplace perks such as networking with local restaurants and complimentary food. This part-time position, averaging about 27.5 hours weekly, makes it an excellent fit for those seeking steady work with flexible scheduling in a rewarding environment.
