Job Description

Fooda is an innovative workplace food program company that believes in providing employees with a food experience they love and look forward to every day. Powered by cutting-edge technology and a vast network of over 2,000 restaurants, Fooda brings delicious and fresh meals directly to employees at their workplaces. This unique food service operates in more than 20 major cities across the United States and continues expanding its footprint nationwide. The concept is simple yet effective: every day, a different local restaurant chef serves up a unique menu onsite at Fooda locations within office buildings and companies, offering vibrant and diverse lunch options. This approach not only supports local restaurants but also provides employees with fresh, high-quality meals conveniently at work. Fooda has become recognized as one of the top workplace perks, with eight out of ten employees rating it among their company’s favorite benefits.

Fooda is currently seeking a full-time Event Coordinator to join its Ohio market team. This role is ideal for candidates who come from a hospitality or events background and are excited to gain hands-on experience in food service management. The Event Coordinator will be instrumental in supporting the day-to-day execution of Fooda’s food events at various corporate locations, collaborating closely with local restaurant partners, and ensuring a seamless and enjoyable customer experience. This position offers a great opportunity to engage with vibrant restaurant communities and work within a dynamic, fast-growing startup environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing onsite setup and teardown of food events, monitoring quality, coordinating with restaurants, troubleshooting operational challenges, and providing exceptional customer service to Fooda’s clientele. The role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication, familiarity with technology including point-of-sale (POS) systems, and a proactive problem-solving attitude.

Critical working hours for the Event Coordinator are primarily during the lunch period from 10 am to 2 pm, Monday through Friday, with some flexibility between 8 am and 4 pm depending on market demands. Fooda offers competitive wages at $20 per hour, a 401k retirement savings plan with company match, and opportunities for career advancement within the company. Candidates should have reliable transportation and be knowledgeable of their local territory for efficient event management. Prior catering or serving experience is strongly preferred, and those who thrive in a startup culture, enjoy building relationships with customers, and have a keen eye for detail will find this position fulfilling and engaging.
