The company is distinguished by its commitment to innovation, service excellence, and inclusivity, ensuring a diverse team that strengthens its operations and elevates the live entertainment experience worldwide.
The Greensboro Coliseum Complex, under the OVG umbrella, stands as a significant multi-building facility serving Greensboro and surrounding communities. Known for its versatility, the complex hosts a wide variety of events ranging from athletic competitions, cultural arts showcases, concerts, theater performances, educational activities, fairs, exhibitions, conventions, convocations, trade shows, to consumer shows. Serving as a vibrant community hub, the complex plays a crucial role in the regional economy while earning acclaim for the quality and scale of its offerings. It consists of nine diverse venues, including the renowned 22,000-seat First Horizon Coliseum, famous for hosting prestigious ACC and NCAA basketball championships and legendary concerts featuring artists from Paul McCartney to Drake and Taylor Swift. The complex also features the Special Events Center with three exhibition halls and a 4,500-seat mini-arena, plus other facilities like the White Oak Amphitheatre, Piedmont Hall, and the Odeon Theatre.
The Events Coordinator role, reporting to the Senior Event Manager, is critical within this dynamic and multifaceted environment. The Events Coordinator will play a pivotal role in supporting the planning and execution of diverse events at the First Horizon Coliseum and the Steven Tanger Center. This role involves a broad spectrum of responsibilities, from collaborating with internal event departments to gathering event data from clients, promoters, and show representatives. The coordinator is also tasked with preparing billing documentation and contributing to the development of staffing and labor plans aimed at ensuring seamless, positive experiences for both guests and venue users.
Offering a competitive hourly rate of $22.00 to $25.00, the position also provides a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees, including health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with employer matching, and paid time off encompassing vacation days, sick days, and 11 holidays annually. The position remains open for applicants until September 18, 2026.
This role demands a meticulous and proactive individual adept at multi-tasking and strong communication, capable of effectively liaising between clients and facility staff, and managing intricate event details. The Events Coordinator will also participate in advancing events/shows, assist with financial estimates and settlements, recommend staffing levels, and coordinate communications during event load-ins and load-outs. Additionally, the role requires cross-functional collaboration to meet event Food and Beverage service needs, and performing other duties as assigned to maintain the facility's high standards of service excellence.
OVG values inclusion and diversity, recognizing that a varied and empowered workforce drives innovation and excellence, and is dedicated to equal employment opportunities free from discrimination of any legally protected status. Joining Oak View Group means becoming part of a forward-thinking team committed to positively shaping the sports and live entertainment industries globally through creativity, operational excellence, and a deep respect for the communities served.
