Job Requirements
- Event planning experience
- Experience in recreation, hospitality, marketing, communication or related fields preferred
- Solid computer skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google applications
- Experience with social media platforms
- Proficiency with graphic software preferred

Job Qualifications
- Event planning experience with a minimum of 1-2 years preferred
- Experience in recreation, hospitality, marketing, communication or related fields
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google applications, social media platforms, and graphic software such as Adobe, Publisher, Photoshop, and InDesign preferred
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Strong project planning, organizational, and strategic planning abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks and projects
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle with a valid license
- Availability to work varied and flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to travel to various regional locations for work, training, and meetings
Job Duties
- Develop and coordinate all phases of the event planning process including research, design, planning, coordination and evaluation with the goal of delivering quality and creative events
- Manage and execute multiple events simultaneously including timelines, production schedules, risk assessments, creative design, vendor and venue management, event team coordination, and logistics management
- Execute on-site and off-site events ensuring effective event team coordination, event set-up, hosting, risk briefings, logistics management during the event, and event tear down
- Oversee and process assigned accounting and financial matters such as invoices, purchase orders, and vendor quotes related to event budgets
- Support district teams to ensure the success of event experiences and planning processes
- Develop and create comprehensive marketing plans and materials to promote events and programs including flyers, social media content, newsletters, banners, posters, email campaigns, event photography, and registration management
- Collaborate with military organizations, agencies, and businesses for partnerships and sponsorships to enhance programming and resident events
- Maintain accurate event records including recaps, attendance statistics, evaluations, and photos
- Support departmental needs through special projects and collateral duties as assigned
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations, local laws, Fair Housing standards, and company policies and procedures
