Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in event management, hospitality, marketing or related field
  • minimum of 2 years experience in event coordination or planning
  • excellent time management skills
  • knowledge of budgeting and financial management
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as required
  • valid driver's license
  • ability to travel if necessary

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience in event planning or coordination
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • proficiency with event management software
  • attention to detail
  • ability to negotiate with vendors
  • problem-solving skills

Job Duties

  • Identify the clients requirements and expectations for each event
  • liaise with vendors, exhibitors, and stakeholders during the event planning process to ensure everything is in order
  • manage all event set-up, tear down and follow-up processes
  • maintain event budgets
  • book venues, entertainers, photographers, and schedule speakers
  • conduct final inspections on the day of the event to ensure everything adheres to the clients standards
  • assess an events overall success and submit findings
