Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in event management, hospitality, marketing or related field
- minimum of 2 years experience in event coordination or planning
- excellent time management skills
- knowledge of budgeting and financial management
- ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as required
- valid driver's license
- ability to travel if necessary
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience in event planning or coordination
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- proficiency with event management software
- attention to detail
- ability to negotiate with vendors
- problem-solving skills
Job Duties
- Identify the clients requirements and expectations for each event
- liaise with vendors, exhibitors, and stakeholders during the event planning process to ensure everything is in order
- manage all event set-up, tear down and follow-up processes
- maintain event budgets
- book venues, entertainers, photographers, and schedule speakers
- conduct final inspections on the day of the event to ensure everything adheres to the clients standards
- assess an events overall success and submit findings
