The University of Wisconsin-Madison is currently seeking an Event Coordinator to join the Department of Radiology. This Regular, University Staff position plays a critical role in planning and executing a diverse array of events that support the department's top-tier academic and healthcare mission. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating event logistics, organizing promotional materials, managing registrations, and communicating with stakeholders to ensure seamless event delivery. The Event Coordinator will work both onsite and potentially remotely, requiring availability for evening and weekend events, and must be prepared to handle physical tasks including heavy lifting up to 50 pounds. This role demands a highly organized, creative, and detail-oriented professional with excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills who thrives in dynamic environments and can meet tight deadlines effectively. - At least 1 year of professional experience in event planning
- experience providing customer service, administrative support, or similar
- ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
- capacity to perform heavy lifting up to 50 pounds

Job Qualifications
- At least 1 year of professional experience in event planning
- experience providing customer service or administrative support
- ability to manage complex event logistics
- experience with digital communications
- experience with event registration and survey creation
- preferred Bachelor's Degree
Job Duties
- Assist with planning and creation of promotional materials for events
- greet customers and guests, assist with registration, and answer questions
- monitor and process event-related transactions and records
- schedule logistics and secure resources for events including space, vendors, and staff
- coordinate event details and resolve operational issues
- communicate with customers to determine event requirements, evaluate requests, recommend service plans and pricing, provide status updates
