With over 100 properties worldwide, JW Marriott emphasizes inclusivity, career growth, and a culture of genuine hospitality. As part of Marriott International's luxury portfolio, this property upholds the highest standards in hospitality, ensuring a memorable experience for every guest through professional, intuitive service.

The Food and Beverage Banquet Host/Hostess role at JW Marriott Chicago is a full-time, non-management position meticulously designed for individuals passionate about hospitality and guest service. This role is pivotal in ensuring that every banquet event runs smoothly, from initial coordination to final execution, by carefully analyzing banquet event orders, making introductions to group coordinators, and accommodating special guest requests.

As a Banquet Host/Hostess, you will act as a primary point of contact for banquet events, ensuring all arrangements meet prescribed standards and guest expectations. Your responsibilities will include carefully reviewing event details to understand setup requirements, timelines, and specific guest needs, such as buffet layouts and action stations. You will be instrumental in anticipating and addressing guest service needs, offering a warm welcome, and maintaining a professional appearance that aligns with JW Marriott's esteemed reputation. The role demands attention to safety policies, prompt reporting of incidents, and maintaining confidentiality of proprietary company information.

This position also requires physical stamina, enabling the employee to stand, sit, or walk for prolonged periods, and manage moderate lifting tasks. Working at JW Marriott is not only about hospitality but also about personal and professional growth. The establishment promotes a team-oriented atmosphere where associates support one another to achieve shared goals. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that values employee safety, diversity, and continuous learning.

Candidates interested in this role should be prepared to embrace Marriott's values of inclusion and exemplary service while benefiting from a variety of enriching employee programs designed to support career advancement and personal wellbeing.
