Job Description
Our client is a distinguished professional services company known for delivering exceptional event experiences within the Bay Area and beyond. Positioned in both San Francisco and the Peninsula, this company prides itself on fostering a vibrant and inclusive work environment that promotes innovation and excellence. Embracing a hybrid working model, the company offers flexibility to its employees to work from the office three days a week and remotely for two days. With a focus on collaboration and strategic partnership, the company integrates cross-functional teamwork to ensure the highest quality in event management and execution.
The role of Senior Events Specialist is pivotal within this dynamic organization. This position is tailored for an experienced event management professional eager to lead full-cycle planning and execution of high-profile California-based events while supporting additional events across the Americas as required. Offering a competitive base salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, the role provides flexibility regarding compensation based on the candidate's experience and skill set. The Senior Events Specialist will be responsible for developing comprehensive project timelines, managing budgets, creating mailing lists, producing event materials, and overseeing RSVP and attendance tracking. Additionally, the specialist will coordinate all logistical aspects including venue selection, food and beverage arrangements, security protocols, communication strategies, onsite event execution, and contingency planning.
This role requires conducting thorough venue research, performing site visits, sourcing reliable vendors, and negotiating contracts to ensure optimal pricing and service quality. Collaboration is key in this position as the Senior Events Specialist will work closely with legal teams, business development and marketing committees (BDMC), and various cross-functional departments to deliver strategic and branded events tailored for both client-facing and internal purposes. Attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving are vital for success in this role.
The ideal candidate will have over five years of event management experience within professional services or a corporate environment and hold a bachelor's degree. Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex events involving multiple stakeholders and handle competing priorities efficiently is crucial. Familiarity with Microsoft Office is necessary, and experience with event and CRM platforms such as Cvent, Microsoft Dynamics, and Zoom is highly preferred. The Senior Events Specialist must also exhibit the flexibility to work onsite across various Bay Area locations and outside regular business hours when required. This role presents an exciting opportunity for professionals aiming to advance their event planning career within a supportive and growth-oriented company environment.
