The Events & Restaurant Manager position is a pivotal leadership role that focuses on driving sales growth and ensuring seamless daily operations. This role involves not only managing the restaurant floor during peak service times but also spearheading the organization and execution of private parties and special events, which are crucial revenue streams for the business. Responsibilities include recruiting, training, and supervising hostesses and servers to maintain the highest level of customer service and operational efficiency. The manager must be adept at inventory control, maintaining front-of-house supplies, and ensuring the environment is clean, organized, and welcoming.

Furthermore, the Events & Restaurant Manager acts as the primary point of contact for all party inquiries, managing contracts from initiation to execution in collaboration with the General Manager. Timely and professional communication with clients is essential, with inquiries requiring responses within 24 hours and careful contract review prior to finalization. The role is also responsible for maintaining an updated events calendar at least two months in advance, coordinating in-house, catering, and external events to optimize staffing and maximize sales potential.

On the operations side, the manager leads floor management tasks including assisting with the hostess stand and supporting wait and bar staff during service hours. Mandatory pre-shift meetings for staff are conducted to ensure preparedness and smooth service delivery, with accurate pre-shift notes maintained for ongoing communication. A strong social media presence is managed through various platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Yelp, and OpenTable to promote events and enhance community engagement. The manager oversees promotional material design and distribution, theme-appropriate ambiance settings including music, lighting, and temperature control, and the compilation of daily sales reports and customer feedback.

Customer satisfaction and retention are top priorities, with active efforts to respond to online reviews and resolve complaints professionally. The role demands community outreach to build sales through networking and participation in local programs, demonstrating a proactive approach to business growth.
