The company offers a dynamic and fast-paced work environment where teamwork, innovation, and passion are highly valued.
This full-time role as an Event Manager at Wilson's Event Venue involves comprehensive responsibilities to ensure the smooth execution of all events from inception to completion. The position plays a pivotal role in marketing the venue to attract new clients and cultivating excellent relationships with existing ones. The manager is responsible for overseeing private and ticketed events, managing every aspect such as scheduling tours, responding to inquiries, finalizing contracts, organizing event layouts, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring events run flawlessly on the day of execution. This position also involves close collaboration with the Banquet Chef to finalize event menus and service plans, ensuring a high standard of culinary and service excellence.
Additionally, the Event Manager is tasked with developing and leading a capable team of event staff, including hiring, training, and enforcing company policies while maintaining a productive work environment. Operational duties encompass maintaining event furniture and equipment, organizing the event space, managing inventory for dry goods and bar supplies, and complying with all health, safety, and labor regulations at the local and federal levels.
With a salary range of $45,000 to $55,000 per year inclusive of gratuity and an annual bonus, this role requires a dedicated professional who is capable of working independently as well as leading a team effectively. The schedule includes 12-hour shifts, evening hours, and weekend work as events dictate, with a flexible approach on non-event days. This position demands strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask, excellent communication, and a hands-on approach to event management.
