The Event Coordinator position at Sparrows Point Country Club offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality and event management. This role is central to the flawless execution of all events hosted by the club, from setup to breakdown, ensuring that every detail is attended to with professionalism and care. The coordinator will be responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of event functions, including daily setup, execution, and cleanup, always maintaining a high standard of service and operational efficiency. Offering a compensation range of $24 to $28 per hour plus eligibility for event tip share distribution, the role provides a competitive hourly wage that rewards dedication and performance.

As an Event Coordinator, you will thrive in a dynamic hospitality environment where superior service is paramount. You will be expected to maintain a professional appearance, provide prompt and efficient customer service, and adhere strictly to safety and alcoholic beverage control policies. Your role will also involve coordinating traffic flow and parking during events, providing tours and information to potential clients, and assisting with supply orders and inventory control to ensure smooth operations. Exceptional communication skills will be critical as you listen and respond to guest needs, handle any changes or special requests during events, and ensure client satisfaction from start to finish. Physical activity, including standing, walking, and lifting up to 30 pounds, plays a significant part in the daily duties, reflecting the energetic and hands-on nature of the position. Flexibility to work weekends and holidays is a necessity, supporting the club's commitment to hosting successful events at any time.

Job Duties

  • Maintain a professional appearance at all times
  • provide prompt and efficient customer service

  • keep tables, event rooms, and supply stations clean and organized
  • listen and respond to guest needs
  • coordinate traffic flow and parking regulations as marked
  • provide tours, brochures, and information to all potential clients
  • assist with ordering supplies and maintaining inventory control levels
  • perform cleanup and closing procedures as assigned by manager
  • setup and breakdown of tables, chairs, event areas, and related activities in an accurate and timely manner
  • carry out cleaning tasks prior and post event of rooms and common areas to include kitchens, hallways and bathrooms
  • ensure satisfaction by communicating with the client throughout the event regarding any changes, substitutions or special requests and following up with the host at the end of event
  • perform other duties as assigned
