The Training Events Coordinator role at GDIT supports the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), specifically the Medicaid Integrity Institute (MII). This is a hybrid position requiring on-site presence at the GDIT Windsor Mill office three days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) and occasional travel within the Baltimore, MD area 1-4 times yearly. The successful candidate will be instrumental in planning and coordinating both virtual and in-person training events that educate Medicaid program integrity teams involved in healthcare fraud investigation. This position emphasizes meaningful work by facilitating professional education events that impact state Medicaid agencies, Medicaid Fraud Control Units, law enforcement officials, and private consultants.

The Training Events Coordinator will handle all aspects of event management from coordination to execution, employing sound learning methodologies and progressive event technologies such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Webex. Duties will include collaborating with key stakeholders, providing comprehensive oversight of conferences, managing event logistics including conference materials, and maintaining regular status reports and plans. The role demands strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask across multiple projects, and familiarity with audiovisual setups essential for successful virtual and live events. Job Requirements

  • bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • minimum 2 years of related experience
  • strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • working knowledge of Teams, Zoom, and Webex
  • familiarity with audiovisual technical setup and requirements
  • ability to multitask and support multiple projects concurrently

  • ability to multi-task and support multiple projects concurrently

Job Duties

  • support CMS by performing all aspects of virtual and in-person training events
  • collaborate with key internal players, state Medicaid agencies, Medicaid Fraud Control Units, subject matter experts, law enforcement officials, and private consultants
  • drive professional education by creating meaningful events for the healthcare fraud investigative industry
  • utilize learning methodology and instructional design with technology platforms such as Teams, Zoom, and Webex to host events
  • coordinate and perform all aspects of conference and special events planning and oversight
  • coordinate with clients to determine specific goals and objectives in planning conferences
  • coordinate with other departments to design and prepare conference materials including name badges and certificates
  • prepare regular status reports and working plans
