Marriott’s Westin brand, in particular, positions itself as the preeminent wellness brand in hospitality, focusing on enhancing the well-being of travelers through unique wellness programming and atmosphere. Marriott’s dedication to creating safe, respectful, and supportive work environments allows team members to thrive and grow professionally while delivering outstanding service to guests. The company fosters a sense of purpose, belonging, and personal growth among its global team members, promoting an environment where associates can become the best versions of themselves.
The Property Administrative Specialist role at Marriott International is a vital position that supports multiple hotel departments such as Guest Services, Engineering, and Food & Beverage. This multifaceted role primarily focuses on providing comprehensive administrative support to ensure smooth hotel operations. The responsibilities include preparing essential documents using word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software, serving as the primary point of contact for clients and vendors, and acting as the liaison between the Sales Office and clients during all phases of event coordination including pre-event, event, and post-event activities. Property Administrative Specialists contribute significantly to the seamless operation of the hotel by coordinating communication across departments and supporting both team goals and quality standards. Success in this role depends on maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor, adhering to company policies and procedures, creating a safe work environment, and fostering positive relationships across the organization. Physical stamina is also crucial, as the role involves some manual handling of items up to 10 pounds and extended periods of standing, sitting, or walking, along with occasional bending or twisting.
Marriott International is an equal opportunity employer that values the diversity of its associates and actively seeks to create an inclusive workplace. The company ensures non-discrimination on any legally protected basis, including disability and veteran status, and celebrates the cultural and experiential richness that each team member brings. Prospective Property Administrative Specialists should be passionate, optimistic, active individuals who take pride in their well-being and are eager to contribute to the Westin brand’s wellness mission. Marriott invites candidates who are ready to begin their purpose, belong to an amazing global team, and become the best version of themselves to join its dynamic workforce. This role offers an inspiring work environment where individuals can develop their administrative skills while supporting the hospitality industry’s evolving needs.
