Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • retail and/or customer service experience
  • ability to stand for long periods
  • capability to handle job stress and interact effectively with others including guests of all ages
  • good communication skills including verbal, written, nonverbal, and listening
  • experience working with children and children’s events
  • ability to lift heavy boxes and access high shelves using ladders
  • willingness to work nights, weekends, and early mornings
  • ability to maintain cleanliness and safety standards
  • must satisfy federal, state, and local legal requirements for employment

Job Duties

  • Plan and coordinate multiple events including children’s birthday parties and craft classes
  • engage with clients of all ages by creating an environment of fun and creativity
  • demonstrate and instruct party participants in craft projects and activities like face painting
  • facilitate party add-ons such as goody bags and balloons to company standards
  • communicate events with clients and store team members
  • complete administrative tasks including answering emails, making phone calls, and paperwork
  • adjust event plans based on client feedback and needs
  • create backup or emergency plans
  • ensure client satisfaction for scheduled events
  • uphold cleanliness and safety standards by setting up, breaking down, and cleaning before and after events
  • help customers shop and locate products
  • provide fast and friendly checkout experience
  • promote and enroll customers in Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards
  • educate customers on Voice of Customer (VOC) survey
  • assist with Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS) processes
  • participate in truck unloading, stocking, and planogram (POG) processes
  • complete merchandise recovery and maintenance
  • perform Store in Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties
  • support shrink and safety programs
  • adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • interact respectfully and positively with customers and team members
  • cross-train in Custom Framing selling and production
  • participate in daily store cleanliness activities including sweeping and maintaining restrooms
  • perform other duties as assigned
