Job Description
Meter is a cutting-edge technology company dedicated to revolutionizing enterprise networking. The internet is the backbone of modern life, powering everything from daily purchases to critical business communications. However, enterprise networks have remained largely unchanged for decades, often being brittle, complex, and difficult to manage. Meter was founded to address these challenges by designing and building a comprehensive networking stack from the ground up. This includes proprietary enterprise hardware, intuitive software, and streamlined operational systems designed to deliver robust, scalable, and reliable network solutions.
Meter's clientele includes ambitious companies and leading institutions such as Bridgewater, Lyft, and Reddit, which rely on its networking technology to keep thousands of employees and locations connected and productive. By leveraging Meter's solutions, these organizations can ensure their networks operate as seamlessly as any modern utility, enabling them to thrive in an increasingly interconnected world.
The role of Events Content Owner is a key position within Meter’s marketing and communications team. This position is responsible for driving the content strategy for Meter’s critical event marketing channels, which are among the company’s highest-impact platforms to engage IT teams and network engineers. Events such as the regional Circuit roadshow and the flagship user conference, MeterUp, are pivotal moments where Meter shares its story live and in person, helping transform the company from an underrecognized vendor into a trusted and essential partner.
As the Events Content Owner, you will craft and refine the narrative for multiple events, ensuring that each resonates powerfully with IT and network leaders. Your work will span keynotes, breakout sessions, demos, and experiential moments, collaborating closely with marketing, product teams, and executives to create compelling and cohesive content. You will also establish systems, templates, and workflows to scale the event content program without sacrificing quality or coherence.
Your influence will extend to shaping how Meter presents itself across numerous cities and major conferences, making sure every session and presentation earns its place by delivering meaningful insights and experiences that drive business growth. Through continuous feedback loops with sales, partners, and event attendees, you will sharpen messaging and storytelling, maximizing the impact of each event.
This role demands a seasoned professional who has led content strategy for complex, multi-track events and has a deep understanding of how to integrate narratives across various formats and audiences. You will be the first dedicated owner of event content at Meter, acting as a critical liaison among diverse stakeholders and playing an instrumental role in Meter’s continued expansion and market presence.
The estimated base salary for this role ranges from $174,000 to $200,000, reflecting the high level of responsibility and expertise required. Additionally, the role offers eligibility to participate in Meter’s equity plan, providing opportunities for deeper investment in the company’s future success. By joining Meter, you become part of a visionary team committed to reinventing enterprise networking for the digital age and shaping the future of connectivity worldwide.
