Job Description

The Grand Hyatt Washington is a premier luxury hotel located in the heart of downtown Washington, D.C. Known for its exceptional service and world-class amenities, the hotel boasts 42,000 square feet of newly renovated event space, making it an ideal venue for meetings, conferences, and special events. Part of the globally recognized Hyatt brand, the Grand Hyatt Washington offers guests a refined and comfortable experience blending sophistication with convenience. The hotel is also celebrated for being one of Fortune's 100 Best Companies to Work For, reflecting its commitment to its employees' growth, satisfaction, and well-being over multiple years.

We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team as an Event Concierge. This role is uniquely designed to exceed the expectations of meeting and event planners as well as our valued guests. As the primary point of contact during events, the Event Concierge plays a vital role in delivering seamless and attentive service by anticipating and addressing any special needs or requests that may arise. This position requires an in-depth understanding of the hotel’s meeting facilities, group dynamics, and detailed event plans. The Event Concierge must be a proactive problem solver, empowered to handle issues swiftly and efficiently to ensure flawless event execution.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced and highly visible position, working closely with event planners and multiple internal departments throughout the duration of the event. Exceptional communication skills, technical aptitude, and an ability to remain calm under pressure are essential to succeed in this role. A flexible schedule is required, including availability on weekends, holidays, and occasionally evenings as events dictate. This position offers an hourly pay starting at $23.00, which increases to $23.50 after six months, reflecting our commitment to recognizing and rewarding performance.

Joining our team provides more than just a job—it offers a career path with extensive benefits and growth opportunities. Our comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision insurance plans, a 401k plan with retirement savings options, basic life insurance, and generous paid leave including vacation, sick days, new child leave, and holidays. Furthermore, we support family needs with paid family bonding time and adoption assistance. Additional perks make working here truly rewarding, including free room nights after 90 days, discounts on rooms for friends and family, tuition reimbursement, complimentary meals during shifts, participation in an employee stock purchase plan, discounts at various retailers, and potential for career growth locally and across the country.

If you are passionate about providing outstanding customer service, thrive in dynamic environments, and want to be part of a recognized company that values its employees, we encourage you to apply and join our team at Grand Hyatt Washington as an Event Concierge. We uphold an inclusive hiring policy, welcoming qualified candidates from diverse backgrounds and without discrimination.
