Omni Hotels & Resorts is currently seeking an Event Concierge for this exquisite resort. The Event Concierge will work closely with clients and group contacts, serving as a vital connection between the Banquet Operations team and Conference Service staff. This role is focused on delivering seamless event coordination and guest service, ensuring that meeting planners and in-house guests receive timely, accurate information and personalized assistance throughout their visit.

The Event Concierge will play a key role in maintaining these standards by managing event logistics, providing directional support, facilitating communication among hotel departments, and anticipating guest needs with a friendly and professional demeanor.

This position involves a dynamic range of responsibilities including coordinating deliveries, ensuring event signage accuracy, managing audio-visual and IT equipment functionality, and proactively identifying any property issues related to cleanliness or safety. The successful Event Concierge will be alert, attentive, and knowledgeable, adept at handling confidential group information, responding quickly to requests, and ensuring guest satisfaction by following up on issues to resolution.

Working at Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa demands flexibility, as the Event Concierge must be available to work varied schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays. This position also requires physical mobility to move, lift, and carry objects up to 40 pounds, and the ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods during a shift. The role requires proficiency with a suite of technology tools such as Opera, GoConcierge, Delphi, Meeting Matrix, Synergy, Microsoft Office, Kronos, Birchstreet, as well as standard office equipment including telephones, scanners, and two-way radios.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in event coordination or hospitality preferred

Job Duties

  • Serve as a resource and advocate for all meeting planners and in-house guests
  • direct guests to their designated meeting rooms, providing directional assistance and requested information
  • remain alert and attentive to guests' needs, representing the total hotel image
  • present a friendly attitude, excellent listening abilities, and pleasant body posture
  • obtain and utilize current hotel communication and event information daily
  • understand and maintain confidentiality of group information
  • respond to guest and meeting planner needs promptly
  • follow up on guest issues to ensure resolution
  • communicate necessary information to hotel departments accurately and timely
  • provide daily reports on guest service issues
  • inform guests about services and meeting room features
  • be knowledgeable of hotel location relative to attractions and provide directions
  • promote hotel outlets through suggestive selling
  • be aware of fire safety procedures and routes
  • assist banquets and set-up teams as needed
  • coordinate timely deliveries from the mailroom
  • ensure correct signage placement and remove unused equipment from guest view
  • test and ensure all equipment functionality
  • inspect property for cleanliness and safety issues and notify relevant departments immediately
