The role of the Event Monitor within the Community Center is pivotal to the smooth operation of every event hosted at the facility. This position carries the responsibility of overseeing guests who have rented the centers, ensuring that all activities proceed without issue. The Event Monitor acts as the frontline representative, welcoming guests, addressing questions, and serving as the crucial liaison between clients, support staff, and outside vendors. Additionally, the Event Monitor is responsible for monitoring venue occupancy, ensuring events conclude on time, and assisting with cleaning tasks throughout and following events. This includes returning equipment and supplies to their designated locations, ensuring the venue remains orderly and ready for subsequent bookings.

This position operates with a degree of autonomy, requiring the ability to manage responsibilities without direct supervision while maintaining open communication with Parks and Recreation staff and the general public. Physical demands include prolonged standing, walking, occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds, and the need for keen observation and communication skills in a varied environmental setting.
