The Event Captain role at 24 Carrots is a senior on-site leadership position responsible for ensuring the flawless execution of events. This position demands an experienced professional who can effectively lead front-of-house teams through all phases of an event, from setup through breakdown, with a high standard of professionalism and organization. The Event Captain manages the service flow and ensures every detail aligns with the Banquet Event Order (BEO), timelines, and 24 Carrots' rigorous standards. This role serves as the primary on-site point of contact for clients, sales representatives, culinary and beverage teams, and venue or planner contacts, ensuring seamless coordination and communication throughout the event.
Strong leadership abilities are essential for managing dynamic event environments and providing real-time solutions. The Event Captain must be able to maintain composure, make prompt decisions, and coach team members to deliver exemplary service. This role requires excellent communication skills and a professional, solution-oriented approach to guest service, with an emphasis on quality control, cleanliness, and consistency. Physically, the job entails regular lifting of up to 25 pounds and more with assistance, reflecting the busy and hands-on nature of the hospitality industry.

Job Qualifications
- 3-5 years of related experience in hospitality, catering, events, or related field
- proven ability to lead front-of-house event execution
- strong working knowledge of BEOs, floor plans, timelines, and service notes
- demonstrated leadership experience directing service teams
- ability to coach, develop, and provide feedback to team members
- experience leading pre-event meetings and team huddles
- strong communication skills

- excellent attention to detail and quality control
- ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure environments
- valid California Food Handler's Card and ServeSafe Allergens Certification within 30 days of hire
Job Duties
- lead front-of-house event execution from setup through breakdown with high organization and professionalism
- manage and maintain service flows during all event phases including cocktail hour, dinner, dessert, and late night
- direct service teams by assigning workflow, monitoring performance, and ensuring accountability
- lead pre-event meetings, team huddles, and post-event follow-up
- serve as primary on-site contact for clients, planners, vendors, and internal teams
- translate BEOs, floor plans, timelines, and service notes into effective event execution
- resolve guest service issues in real time
