Job Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Frequent bending, lifting, and carrying up to 35 pounds
  • Standing and walking for extended periods
  • Ability to perform work involving ladders, reaching, and bending
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours including evenings and weekends
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years experience in event planning or hospitality services
  • Proven track record of managing and leading event staff
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple events
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in event management software
  • Fluent in English
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
  • Neat appearance and professional grooming standards

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 year experience as a banquet server
  • Preferred supervisory experience
  • Experience in event planning or hospitality services for at least 2 years
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple events simultaneously
  • Proficiency in event management software
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Fluent in English, bilingual in Spanish a plus

Job Duties

  • Review banquet event orders and confirm assignments with banquet manager
  • Post daily banquet event orders and assign staff to event areas
  • Verify room setup and layout before events
  • Coordinate with management and culinary team on head counts, dietary needs, and timing
  • Hold pre-function meetings to review service standards and VIP guests
  • Supervise service staff during events ensuring professional guest service
  • Verify and complete guest billing and assign cleanup duties
  • Manage cash bar duties including cash retrieval, issuance, reconciliation, and deposit preparation
  • Train and mentor new banquet staff
  • Comply with all safety, fire, and security procedures
