As part of the NEXUS Luxury Collection's portfolio of leisure assets around the globe, it holds a unique position within the luxury hospitality sector, catering to an exclusive clientele seeking a welcoming, intimate, and family-friendly environment. This club serves as a welcoming gathering place where members can enjoy a balanced blend of work and leisure in a setting designed to make New York City more accessible, livable, and enjoyable. Its facilities include wellness and fitness centers, diverse dining options, meeting rooms, and versatile event spaces all designed to meet the varied needs of its members and their guests. NEXUS Club New York prides itself on offering an array of unique and exclusive programs tailored to enhance the lifestyle of its members, making it stand out amongst other venues in the city.
The role of the Event Captain at NEXUS Club New York involves a dual responsibility that focuses both on event management and direct guest service. The Event Captain plays a critical role in ensuring the seamless execution of events from start to finish, working closely with the Event Coordinator and Event Manager. This role demands a comprehensive understanding of event operations and an ability to coordinate a team through all event phases, including setup, execution, and breakdown. Beyond managing logistics, the Event Captain also acts as a lead server, attending personally to the guests, ensuring that their experience exceeds expectations. This position blends leadership, operational oversight, and frontline customer service, making it vital to the club's commitment to excellence in hospitality. The Event Captain not only manages the physical aspects of events but also spearheads communication between clients, the event staff, and other involved departments such as facilities and culinary teams. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure are essential qualities for success in this role. Additionally, familiarity with AV technology as it relates to events is advantageous, along with an adherence to the club's values and professional presentation standards. Overall, this position is ideal for a dynamic hospitality professional with at least two years of relevant service experience, preferably in private clubs, fine dining, or luxury settings, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering outstanding event experiences.
