The Renaissance Milwaukee West is currently seeking a dynamic and motivated part-time Bartender to join their Events (Banquets) Team. This position offers competitive pay starting at $9.00 per hour, with the potential for tips enhancing overall earnings. The Bartender will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional beverage service during events, embodying the welcoming and stylish atmosphere the hotel is known for. As an Event Bartender, the individual will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages, maintaining a clean and organized bar area, managing inventory, and engaging with guests to ensure a memorable and professional service experience. This role requires flexibility, including night and weekend availability, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and hygiene. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • must obtain City of Wauwatosa Bartender’s License within 30 days if not currently held
  • flexible schedule including nights and weekends
  • prior bartending experience preferred
  • ability to handle cash and operate POS system
  • excellent guest service skills
  • ability to stand for long periods
  • compliance with safety and hygiene standards
  • willingness to follow management instructions
  • punctual and reliable
  • able to work in a team environment

Job Qualifications

  • Bartending experience, preferably in a hotel, catering, or banquet setting
  • a City of Wauwatosa Bartender’s License is required or must be obtained within the first 30 days of employment
  • flexible availability including nights and weekends
  • excellent guest service skills
  • ability to operate cash register and handle transactions properly
  • knowledge of beverage preparation and presentation
  • ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in a fast-paced environment
  • effective communication and interpersonal skills

Job Duties

  • Provide the highest quality of service to the guest at all times
  • prepare and serve beverages to guest order, in accordance with established standards
  • engage with guest while ensuring prompt service and meeting guest expectations
  • use observation, intuition, and spontaneity in describing beverages and assisting guests in selection
  • operate cash register and handle cash including credit card, debit card, and check transactions
  • follow proper drawer closing and opening procedures
  • maintain records regarding transactions
  • set up and break down bar
  • complete all opening and closing duties according to established procedures
  • maintain inventory as well as storage and rotation of beverages and garnish
  • maintain a clean and sanitized area at all time
  • wipe up spills, stock and replenish ice stations, and check and replace glassware
  • create a pleasant, friendly, hospitable, effective, and professional working environment
  • report to work on time and in proper uniform
  • practice safety standards at all times
  • carry out reasonable requests by management capable of performing
  • follow rules in Concord Hospitality Handbooks
