The role of Event Bartender at Butler's Pantry is an hourly position that plays a crucial part in the successful execution of events. This position involves providing bar service to clients and their guests while upholding the company’s professional service guidelines. The Event Bartender is responsible for setting up the bar area, which includes arranging tables, linens, liquor, wine, beer, garnishes, and water pitchers. Knowledge of cocktail recipes, wine varieties, liquor and beer brands, and proper pour etiquette is essential to this role.
Event Bartenders are expected to maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring that all products are adequately stocked and accessible throughout the event. They must practice responsible alcohol service by monitoring guests to prevent over-serving and ensure a safe environment. Additionally, Bartenders assist other team members with tasks such as loading and unloading equipment and collaborate with Service Captains and colleagues to resolve service-related issues promptly and professionally.
A key aspect of this role is providing friendly and attentive service while maintaining poise and professionalism at all times. The Bartender must demonstrate a strong sense of urgency, focus on their assignments, and contribute to a smooth and efficient event experience. The ability to handle a physically demanding job that requires standing for long periods and lifting heavy loads is necessary.

Job Requirements
- Industry-relevant experience of 6 months to 1 year preferred
- Must work at least 40 hours in a six month period
- Ability to handle physically demanding position requiring standing for long periods and lifting heavy loads
- Ability to work a flexible and sometimes non-traditional schedule
- Capacity to learn company practices, policies, procedures, methods and equipment
- Ability to take personal ownership of the company’s high-quality service standard
- Capacity to use good judgment and decision-making skills

Job Duties
- Ensure the bar area is properly set-up including tables, linens, liquor, wine, beer, garnishes, and water pitchers
- Knowledge of various cocktail recipes, wine packages and varietals, liquor and beer brands and styles
- Practice responsible alcohol service and monitoring guests to ensure no one is overserved
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring product is stocked and accessible
- Break down the bar at the end of the event in an organized fashion following guidelines
- Assist other team members with tasks including loading and unloading the truck
- Greet, interact with and serve all guests in a positive and professional manner
