Committed to providing exceptional guest experiences, the center hosts a variety of private and public events such as weddings, galas, corporate gatherings, and educational programs throughout the year, making it a vibrant hub for community engagement and cultural celebration.
We are currently seeking a skilled and energetic professional to join our events team as a part-time Events Bartender. This position plays a vital role in elevating the overall guest experience by delivering attentive and personalized service in a variety of settings spanning the sprawling campus. The ideal candidate will maintain a polished and professional appearance, strictly adhering to uniform and grooming standards that reflect the high service quality expected at our facility. Responsibilities include assisting the bar team with setup and supply replenishment, preparing and serving a full range of beverages including soft drinks, beer, wine, and mixed drinks, while prioritizing speed, accuracy, and cleanliness in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must demonstrate strong knowledge of beverage menus to confidently address guest inquiries and support team efforts. Moreover, the bartender must enforce responsible alcohol service policies by verifying identifications and complying with all legal and integrity standards.
In addition to technical skills, this role requires the ability to engage warmly and professionally with guests, contributing to the welcoming ambiance that defines the Atlanta History Center. Physical demands include standing and walking for extended periods, lifting supplies up to 50 pounds, and moving between various bar locations situated indoors and outdoors. The position also requires reliable transportation and flexibility to work primarily evenings and weekends to accommodate event schedules.
Joining our team means becoming a part of a well-respected institution that values hard work and dedication. As a part-time employee, you will benefit from competitive hourly wages with the potential for supplemental income through a shared service fee pool. Our comprehensive benefits package includes participation in traditional and Roth 403(b) retirement savings plans with employer contributions, free family memberships, discounted event and program access, and discounts at our on-site retail and dining establishments. By joining the Atlanta History Center, you will contribute to a legacy of hospitality and historic preservation while working in a dynamic, supportive environment where your role directly impacts guest satisfaction and the reputation of the institution.
